A yellow color compensating filter with a density of 0.20Y – These filters can be used to make slight changes in the color balance of images recorded on color films or on digital sensors with the white balance set manually. They can also be used to balance or compensate for the colorcast of a light source. These filters will work perfectly with color temperature meters where even slight variances of color will cause a problem. Cokin Color Compensating filters are available in three secondary colors: Cyan, Magenta, and Yellow. A typical designation for one of these filters is CC20Y. The "CC" stands for Color Compensating. The "20" stands for a density of 0.20 and the "Y" is for Yellow.
